Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Adam G — 01 Dec 2007
The original version is arguably my favourite movie of all time. The reason is simple: I've watched it around 20 times from ages 3 to 30. More times than any other movie. I loved it as a very small kid, I love it now.
But: I hate the 40's version with a passion, as the added voiceover seriously handicaps the movie.
