Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Katrine B — 01 Apr 2009
Chaplin never ceases to amaze me, and the Gold Rush is no exception. It turns the realities of sadness and poverty into a comedy. The famous "Dance of the Rolls" scene is remarkable and is still hilarious, and always will be.
The love that the Tramp has for Georgia (the girl) is so innocent and beautiful. Definetly one of Chaplin's best, but has he ever really disappointed?
