Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Alex G — 02 Oct 2012
Energetic, humorous with a blend of pulled off well drama, this is a great film. I don't have a whole lot else to say about it. Chaplin made this movie of course, but the acting and characters were really good too.
The story's really good, but there were at times where it didn't always seem seamless, when it seemed like it would just jump back to things for the purpose of jumping back to things. More often than not, it was very smooth.
The gags are hilarious and the characters are well developed. This is my first Chaplin film and I can't wait to see his other ones.
