Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Calvin C — 18 Mar 2013
This might be the perfect slapstick, without any of the tiresome, mean drudgery of so many other attempts. It somehow avoids being cliche despite being such an obvious inspiration for so many others. In fact, it is so good that one wonders how directors could watch movies like this and not make better films for the last ninety years.
