Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Kenneth B — 17 Nov 2013
The overall laugh-rate in The Gold Rush is lower than the other Chaplin films that I have seen so far. In fact this was heading for a 3.5 rating right up until the cabin on a cliff scene. The scene is a work of genius and is genuinely exciting.
Edge of seat stuff.
