Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by Ross P — 28 Jul 2012
Yes, the acting was mostly poor. Yes, the dialogue seemed out of place for a crime drama but in my opinion Part III was necessary to complete The Godfather legacy and it stimulates all of the emotions that it's predecessor did.
The final 40 minutes are magical and seeing Michael fall alone from his chair in a dusty courtyard is devastating. We feel sympathy for him in every film; as a war hero or as a bloodthirsty mafia boss.
What an incredible character Mario Puzo created, what an incredible character Coppola translated to the big screen.
