Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by Paul C — 11 Nov 2011
I think it's kind of unfair this film got such a bad rep. It's nowhere near as good as the first two Godfather's, but it is still great in its own right. Set years after the previous ones, the story and tone is markedly different.
There's not a lot of grit or realism and lacked some of the panache, but I still found it entertaining. There are also the usual brilliant performances you'd expect from a film by Francis Ford Coppola.
I'm not sure what else to say. The story kinda felt rehashed, and I wasn't that particularly interested in Andy Garcia's newly added character. Still, it was a decent bookend to the story of Michael Corleone.
