Review of The Godfather Part III (1990) by Shane D — 28 Dec 2012
After so many years of only having digested the first two films in this trilogy I had long chalked up this third effort as being heavily chastised and weak. So I was reasonably surprised that it wasn't nearly as bad I had expected.
In a lot of ways it was actually more entertaining than Godfather II (I know this isn't the general opinion) but I found Godfather II to be a sleepy, over-worded affair. This does however feel like Godfather for the MTV generation, but in contrast it does contain some genuine and authentic "motherland" and religious undertones which weren't present in the first two.
It's a not so bad.
