Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Jeff S — 19 Dec 2012
This is my favorite movie. It is the best of the three Godfather movies. Cold. Surgical. Michael Corleone is like a shark. Silently swimming and killing his prey without emotion. It's just business. The flashback sequences give a rich depth to the back stories and helps to explain who these people are and the world they populate. A world of power, of loyalty and betrayal, and of a silent but underlying greed that propels the protagonist.
I give this my highest rating. Two trigger fingers up.
