Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Tyler S — 09 Jul 2014
While I am not sure if it beats the first one (which is one of the top 5 movies ever made in my opinion) this one is still just as good. Deniro shines as a young Vito Corleone as his rise is chronicled from a young adult.
His ruthlessness, smarts, and ways are seen at an early age. Deniro was so deserving of an oscar here. Pacino is so good in this role, and I believe that it is his opus. These movies are so well made and believable that after the film your brain is wondering in different directions.
An absolute masterpeice of film and maybe the best sequel ever made up there with Empire Strikes Back.
