A strong opening, spectacular conclusion and powerful performances by Pacino, DeNiro, Keaton and Cazale barely salvage an overlong, convoluted plot that focuses around a confusing game of Clue and features hundreds of interchangeable Italian-American men who are impossible to tell apart.
