Coppola did the impossible. TheGodfather 2 didn't just live up to it's predecessor, it surpasses it's predecessor in every way. The non linear storyline in Godfather 2 is dazzlingly shot by Coppola.
Al Pacino gives one of the greatest screen performances of all-time conveying lines of emotion simply with his eyes. The Godfather 2 outshines The Godfather, but it doesn't outshine Apocalypse Now.
