I never really understood why the first Godfather film is considered to be the best film ever released. These gangster flicks are overrated and are not as good as they are. Godfather 2 is way too better than it's predecessor even after being 30 minutes overlong than the first. This film rarely lags and it has more story and believable moments compared to the first. Al Pacino provides are a terrific performance and Robert De Niro is good as the young Vito Corleone. Other actors are also good. The film has even pacing, good dialogue and fine twists. The only thing that I was disappointed about the film was it's ending. I really hate the ending and in the end, the whole film seems to be pointless. I wish to say more about it, but then I would disclose the suspense. The power plays and crime take more predominance in this film than stupid family melodrama.
