A deeper portrayal of power and organized crime within the legacy of Corleone. The acting and filmmaking continues to impress.
However, DeNiro's Vito Corleone should've been explored much more instead of being sidelined for some occasionally uninteresting storytelling...
That's what weighs this down, the blend between the Vito and Michael should've flown through better and paced better into the film instead of boring too much with every little thing Michael did.
