Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Ken S — 05 Aug 2014
"The Godfather, Part II" is just as strong a film as the first film. This time we get a dual story. We watch as Micheal falls deeper into his Mafia lifestyle and father from his wife, and see him become a man you find it hard to actually even like anymore (and it is all done so brilliantly that it doesn't seem unbelievable or out of character) while we simultaneously go back in time and watch the young life of Vito Corleone, as he leaves Italy, comes to America and slowly enters the life of crime to become the great Don he was at the beginning of the first film.
It is a wonderful movie, with just as many classic moments as the previous entry.
