Review of The Godfather (1972) by Man Cole P — 03 Aug 2013
The Godfather is the gangster movie of all gangster movies, balancing family men with criminals and taking an audience deep into the underbelly of the mob while also making us feel for the characters. Everything in this movie is done right. Michael's transformation, the tragedy of Sonny and Vito, and the violence begetting violence all add up to one of the greatest films of all time. It is a necessary viewing for anyone and required for movie fans.
