Review of The Godfather (1972) by Petrocelli — 05 Apr 2015
Arguably the greatest movie ever made. A cast of relative unknowns (Pacino, Diane Keaton, James Caan, Robert Duvall and John Cazale) join with the great Brando, who was in a low point in his career. Perfectly written and flawlessly directed.
Pacino plays the role of Michael perfectly understated -- so understated that the studio wanted to fire him. (Apparently, he wasn't yelling like an Italian should.
