Review of The God Who Wasn't There (2005) by Phil R — 08 Aug 2007
...eh.
This is a weird situation, there actually is two sides to this argument. The historical Jesus crowd got left out of this film, perhaps because their message would have confused the point.
I don't think this film was made for a serious exploration of the beginnings of the Christian church, a subject which I find deeply interesting, but to perhaps convert some borderline Christians through showing them the numerous problems with the foundations of their faith. Honestly though, I don't think that the condescending tone of the film will convince many of them.
