Review of The God Who Wasn't There (2005) by Oliver E — 17 Feb 2013
Overall Brian Flemming isn't really bringing anything new to the table in regards to the debate over religion and all that it entails. For me, this was more of a story about Brian than a documentary about his subject matter.
It's a story about him trying to come to terms with the frustrations of his religious upbringing. His insecurities and frustrations are most enunciated when he interviews the principal of the christian school he went to as a child.
His bitterness is very relatable, but doesn't make for a good documentary.
