I read the book in one sitting. Pretty much my favorite book ever. I was prepared to be disappointed by the movie, but I was not. Very well done and very true to the book. I found this story to be both disturbing, enlightening, and familiar to those of us in not so perfect families of the early 60's.
5 stars for me.
