Review of The Giver (2014) by Metatarsals — 11 Sep 2014
I was really surprised by this movie - I know a lot of people were expecting the Hunger Games, only to get The Giver instead. If you loved the book, you'll love the movie. Surprisingly enough in the days of CGI-overload this movie is backed with a lot of thoughtful dialogue, good acting a teeny tiny bit of action.
It's a different kind of dystopia, and I'm not minding it at all. Very good! Made me cry a couple times, not a lot of things do that.
