Much better than expected! As a long time fan of the book I was worried this movie wouldn't do it justice. There is some odd pacing at times and the imagery although beautiful to look at lacks the kind of style that I wouldve liked to see; (Think something more like Amelie), the images do have an emotional though short lived impact.
Overall it was very enjoyable to watch and in my opinion worth a see especially if you read the book as a kid.
