Review of The Girlfriend Experience (2009) by Nic B — 09 Feb 2010
Fairly boring. While beautifully photographed and featuring a better than expected performance from real life porn star Sasha Grey, this dull drama about the economic situation through the eyes of an escort is director Steven Soderbergh at his most minamalist and restrained.
This aesthetic, which the director mastered so well with 2001's 'Traffic' will no doubt put many off, as I was.
