Review of The Girlfriend Experience (2009) by David S — 21 May 2010
An well-lensed portrait of the relationship between a high priced call-girl's declining business contrasted with the decline in the economy. A very timely film (so much so that it seems a little outdated at points), and one that could have benefited from removing the shifting chronology.
Worth seeing, though, if your expectations are kept in check--certainly the ambitions of the film aren't sky high, and within its modest goals, it succeeds almost entirely.
