Spoiler Alert: I watched this right after the original and I thought to myself that the original was much better. Maybe just because any twist I already saw coming this time around. But I was trying to watch it fresh.
The bad character was predictable because that actor is always cast as a bad guy. Whereas I don't know much about Swedish actors, but the original bad guy didn't seem like such a bad guy until the reveal happened.
But otherwise Fincher is good at creating the mood.
