Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by Tim G — 22 May 2014
I was really looking forward to this but was disappointed. Frankly I was bored through much of it. The sex scenes were superfluous, and the attempt at grit or gravitas though shock worked about as well as a commedian relying on the F word to raise a laugh.
The main characters worked as neither hero or antihero and I can only assume they were better in the original. The outcome of the Harriet plotline was more predictable than a Miss Marple episode and the clues laid out as obviously as those in Scooby Doo.
Dire.
