Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by James M — 01 Apr 2013

I wanted to watch the original first but fate decided that I watch this one.

I thought it was a good film but I need to reserve full judgment until I watch the original, although I do question the fact that this is set in Sweden, featuring characters with Swedish names & accents. Was a remake necessary at all?

Until I watch both versions I can't offer an unbiased critique.
