Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) by Jenn M — 07 Jun 2012
Not as good as the book but this was still excellent. Not everything from the book could have possibly been put into the movie but I did miss some bits. Anyways, on to the review. This requires some concentration as it is not dubbed, there are subtitles in English (movie is in Swedish).
It was dark, dreary, scary and gripping even if it was in another language. Thats why I often enjoy foreign films, as I rely more on the actual acting to portray mood and feeeling, not necessarily the words.
Silent movies are great for this as well. It can get a bit draining near the middle but it quickly catches up and draws the viewer back in for the surprise ending. good job.
