A raw, nail-biting thriller lead by spectacular performances from Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" possesses a dark, gritty atmosphere and a much-welcomed freshness that both of its sequels (and 2011 American remake) were unfortunately lacking.
It's simply the best thriller of the decade.
