Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) by Axel K — 27 Sep 2012
The Sweedish version fails where the Hollywood version succeeds and succeeds where the Hollywood version fails. I'm an ardent reader of the novels and can say this adaptation is incredible. The amount of detail written by the late Stieg Larsson makes adapting the novels into films incredibly difficult; with the resources at their disposal, the filmmakers make one of the greatest psychological thrillers I've seen yet.
