Can't imagine why they made a Hollywood remake with that 007 bloke just a few years later, because here is another great film from Sweden, taut, dark, original, atmospheric and gripping, and filled with characterisations you can believe in.
Against it, the remake pales into insignificance. Makes reading subtitles a pleasure.
