Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) by Paul R — 19 Dec 2012

I loved this original Swedish version of this story. It is fantastic to look at with first rate cinematography. The story is complex and packed full of twists and reveals it really hooks you in, this, combined with some amazing characters, namely Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander.

She is fantastically severe but hugely interesting to watch on screen. The film is gritty, puzzling and a very accomplished Thriller. I never really understood why this was remade, but hey, Hollywood is rather addicted to remaking already successful foreign films.

If you haven't seen either version of this film - I say watch this one.
