Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) by Jaret M — 01 Jan 2015
Noomi Rapace gives an riveting performance in a film that's compelling mystery can't quite overcome its total, violent, ick-factor. None of the other performances come close to the lead actress and the film itself seems dark for darkness sake, failing to justify its grim and open climax.
All that being said, you won't look away for most of it and it is genuinely gripping to a point. Fans of the book should enjoy it well enough.
