Review of The Girl with All the Gifts (2016) by Abb J — 21 Apr 2017
The Girl With All The Gifts: This slightly different spin on the zombie genre focuses on a British military research facility that is studying hybrid zombie children in the search for a cure when it is overrun by zombies, whom are the creation of a fungal infection - sort of an Invasion of The Body Snatchers meets 28 Days Later.
Sennia Nanua's performance as the girl who could save humanity is outstanding, supported by equally strong performances by Glenn Close and Gemma Arterton. The surprisingly clever zombie movie, however, is betrayed by a couple of really out of place scenes, one being its exceptionally ridiculous ending.
