Review of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006) by Stefan B — 06 Feb 2010
Saw this last night at the UW Cinematheque, paired with 1930's Betty Boop cartoons (which were eye-popping, BTW). A very good, underseen anime feature, although it suffers from some of the anime coming-of-age genre cliches.
I do appreciate that the protagonist uses her nascent time travelling abilities to travel back to when her pudding tasted good, or to keep redoing a karaoke session until she's been singing for 10 hours straight.
Better than killing John Connor by a long chalk.
