To be fair I should mention that I have a definite weakness for female coming-of-age stories. But happily I can judge this film independently of those elements. It was great. The animation was wonderful, the characters were lovable, the story -though obviously fantastic- was relatable, and the comedy was really funny.
It was also really touching, but now we're getting back into the realm of female coming-of-age stories so I'll bow out gracefully now before I get all giddy and loud.
