An awesome movie! Although there are no action or anything, this film is thrilling and also a tear-jerker at times. However, the film is a bit confusing in the end, and the animation isn't that great to me.
If this is a Studio Ghibli film, I bet Miyazaki's animation style can make this slice-of-life movie into one of the highest quality anime of all times!
