Review of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (1997) by Sam Z — 18 Feb 2011
A well-animated japanese film about a girl who develops the ability to leap through time and uses this ability to change the events that happen around her. although the animation and visual effects are interesting, the story is somewhat slow-paced and not incredibly engaging or gripping.
there are quite a few cute and funny moments, and I did enjoy the character development, but I found it hard to sympathize with the protagonist. also, it seemed some things were lost in the subtitles, especially with regards to the time traveling itself.
you'll probably watch this if you love anime, but if you're not a huge anime person it may or may not interest you.
