It is nice to see the concept of time travel used in a more refreshing, lighter tone compared to other films that use it as a focus. I can't resist the comparison to the Ghibli films, the better of which The Girl Who Leapt Through Time does not hold up so well , from what I feel may just be a poor lead casting in the localisation.
If you like the Ghibli films, or anime in general, this is a must watch.
