Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Steph O — 02 Mar 2011
Probably too long for short attention span adolescent Americans and those who can't stand to have to think about films, this is so much better than the second film and almost back tot eh first, although those seeking thrill-a-vision close -ups of Salander's rapes and abuse will leave HARDly excited.
As the trilogy draws to a close it feels closer to the long TV series it was made as and this episode is largely action-less, mainly either in hospital, in prison, in court.
Nevertheless, it pulls everything together even if the last denouement is somewhat predictable.
At... what is it... 137 minutes, this film feels like so much less and that is the sign of a well made film.
If you haven't seen the others, it will make NO sense, but if you haven't seen the others then you really need to try harder.
