Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Ken C — 05 Mar 2011
I really thought that this would be the best in the trilogy, but it wasn't. It's dull, boring, and annoyingly slow, and I usually dig movies that take there time by moving slowly but only if any of the scenes are interesting, and yes there are some interesting scenes in this but non of them make up for the two and a half hours of boring dialogue. I don't even know if it's fair of me to even be reviewing this since I fell asleep for I think ten minutes watching it, but whatever i'm never gonna watch this again so I might as well tell you what I think.
It has some good parts in it, theres a scene at the end where the russian from The Punisher is chasing the girl around trying to kill her, but other than that the only other intense scenes I can think of are the ones that only lasted atleast a minute. And from what i've heard, the book is supposed to be an edge of your seat, intense thrill ride, so what the hell? Why is this movie so boring did they cut out all the good parts from the book or what?
I also didn't like how the girl and the guy hardly had any screentime together and how both of the charcters's stories weren't any interesting. Everything about this movie is just forgetable, it's just not a very good conclusion to the saga. What I thought was going to be the best turned out to be the worst of the bunch.
