Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Spyros T — 27 Mar 2011
The final part of the millennium trilogy after a disappointing sequel kind of, saves the day. The two last parts of the trilogy lack the atmosphere and the twists of the first instalment. With minimal action and suspense, almost no surprises fails to unlock a deeper conspiracy level.
The difference this time is that the main character is not in vantage point and can not act like a lone wolf, but is forced to trust others to help her. It works really good, and gives a different but effective turn that gives other characters room to breath.
Overall the strong part of the trilogy is that the characters are more down to earth, just simple people but with enormous courage and persistence. I hope the American remake maintain this element.
