Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Matt F — 09 Apr 2011
The third and final installment of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy is a bit of a departure from the first two-thirds. First off it's much slower paced and light on action (for reasons I won't divulge for fear of ruining it).
It's a bit like Kill Bill Vol. 2 in that it's backloaded with story, wrapping up the business of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. At times it feels a bit overlong but it's never truly boring.
Overall it was a fitting end to the story because it was one of consequence and resolution. And BELIEVABLE resolution no less.
