Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Chen Y — 25 Apr 2011
This movie picked up right where the second film left off. I read the first two books but not the third (got bored with the series), so I can't comment on the relationship between the two. this film seemed slow-paced and focused mainly on a courtroom legal battle between lisbeth and her accusers.
once it was uncovered who was exactly behind all her problems, the plot became very complicated, unwieldly, and just plain unrealistic and ridiculous. however, because I had a vested interest in the lives of these characters, it was still an entertaining film.
also, the way in which the blond giant goes down is awesome.
