Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Andrew D — 13 May 2011
A satisfactory conclusion to the Millennium trilogy, but still it doesn't reach the heights hit by The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The final part takes the guise of a courtroom drama, picking up where the events of the second left off, and detailing Lisbeth's attempts to clear her name and have herself declared sane. Intelligently written, although not quite clearing everything up even with a 2 1/2 hour running time, the performances are excellent again (Noomi Rapace is one to keep an eye on).
A good, but not great, conclusion.
