Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Zhanyi J — 21 Aug 2011
By far the weakest movie of the Millennum trilogy. This one picks up right where the second movie leaves off. one of the main issues with the film, and the book, is the Salander character is one the sidleline for much of the movie.
The movie is too long. this one needed to move at a swifter pace. Going to get in spoiler territory here. one problem with the book and movie is that Salander and Blomquist have almost no scenes together in the last two chapters of the trilogy.
The first chapter sets up the relationship between the two. After that the two are rarely together and that really hurts the story overall. Overall the Millennum trilogy was entertaining. I'm looking forward to seeing the Amercian version this Christmas.
