Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Brittany R — 07 Dec 2011
Being that you can't have one without the other, this was a fine follow up to 'Fire' and it answered all of our questions that we'd had since 'Dragon Tattoo' about Lisbeth. The difference is that this one is much more courtroom drama than mystery thriller.
It's hard to get into it when the title character is stuck in a hospital bed then a jail cell for most of the movie. But when they finally let her don her mo-hawk, leather, and chains we're happy to get our little bad-ass back.
The most interesting and exciting parts happen at the end... and just when you think it's over, we're reminded there's one final showdown that must take place- proving that Lisbeth is just as smart as ever.
