Review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009) by Ken S — 22 Apr 2012
The plot and character bits in this final installment in the Swedish film series is pretty much an exploration of the events of the previous film. It is about as solid and entertaining as that film, with a few more character based plot points.
It is mostly an investigation from both sides either trying to convict or free Lisbeth after her attempted murder of her father (who is murdered early on in order to silence him on his knowledge of the secret organization he was involved in.
Lisbeth stands as a major thorn in their sides if she is to go to trial. It is a good conclusion to a really well made film series, even if I don't think either sequel lived up to the quality of the first film.
..but what sequel ever does? This series is definitely a quality way to spend several hours.
