Review of The Girl on the Train (2016) by Nate T — 15 Oct 2016
Somewhat murky telling of the best selling book comes off as more of a blur than anything else. Haley Bennett and Rebecca Ferguson are made up to look similar, most likely on purpose, which just muddies the water all the more.
When vindication for the main character, Rachel (Emily Blunt), comes about, it's too little to late. The pacing is also slow and dreamlike. I found the movie to just crawl from start to finish without any real enjoyment for the proceedings entering my mind.
