I thought the reviews were off on this one. We found it well-acted, interesting, and engaging. The girl's views of herself and others are very nicely set up. I disagree with the reviewer who said that it was about people being bored with their lives.
It had more to do with the nature of grieving, how that can distort your perceptions entirely. It is also about the various manifestations of spousal abuse and psychological manipulation. Worth seeing.
